Day 57 - January 9th

I haven't road-tripped like that in a long while! We made it to Bamenda with minimal delays. I took Dramamine, and I napped a little, but I was able to read The Help for most of the ride! A big change from getting horribly motion-sick!
We ate dinner out at a restaurant, my first time since I arrived in Cameroon. We had large portions of chicken, fries, and plantains. Soooooo good.
Bamenda is very different from home near Dimako in many ways. I have heard plenty of English, and there is a dust haze over the city. People tell me it has traveled down from the Sahara Desert. That idea is strange to me, that it is so close.
Two of the missionaries visiting for the conference have come from Nigeria. I heard them talk about their drive - glad our roads are not so bad that you have to hire a professional driver!
